Takeaways:

  • Unlike in other fields, top schools in law have a disproportionate advantage for getting students into top firms.
  • Some schools in the bottom half of the 2022 US News Best Law Schools rankings also have promising performance. These schools include: Suffolk University Law School; Northern Illinois University College of Law; and The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.
  • It’s worth noting that tuition is not correlated to a school's ability to get students into top firms. Schools like Northern Illinois University College of Law have a highly competitive tuition of $22,082 and have an acceptance rate of 53.4%.
