Looking at Revelio Labs’ job posting data highlights a distinct focus on skill acquisition and expertise among AI Innovator organizations compared to AI Laggards in their HR functions. The period between January and October 2023 revealed that AI Innovators are hiring HR skills related to compensation and benefits, professional services, project management, and software solutions. These skills align with the evolving technology landscape, enabling a more personalized and scalable employee experience.
i4cp’s survey data also differentiates between organizations that are actively hiring AI roles within the HR profession and those that are not. Just like AI Innovators, these organizations also seek to buy more AI capabilities from the jobs market. They are more focused on Data Management and Information Technologies and have been hunting for skills to build more technical and analytical functions. On the flip side, companies not hiring for AI-specific roles were more likely to be hiring for more traditional HR skills.
i4cp’s research has repeatedly shown that the transformation of HR from a transactional practice to a strategic one is dependent upon HR’s ability to turn data into meaningful business insights. Using our jobs market data, we have identified the top skills hirers sought when it comes to data and HR. Interestingly, topping the list of these skills is Oracle, which is not part of the traditional data science pipeline. This highlights the interplay between traditional HR tools and newer approaches to data-driven decision-making.
i4cp and Revelio Labs will continue following the latest trends in AI to deliver valuable insights to HR professionals. In this dynamic environment, embracing AI-related skills is not just a new development but a business necessity for the future of human capital management.
